How to Become a Server Leader on the BABYLON Server?​

What is a Server Leader?

• A server leader is an active and experienced player who manages one of the server's main factions (state or criminal).
• This role is for those who are ready to take on significant responsibility, lead a team of players, and develop their faction.
• The leader is the "engine" of their faction, shaping its development and reputation on the server.

Spoiler: Leader's Authority

Permitted​

— Manage and improve the faction.
— Develop and conduct unique RP situations for the server and players.
— Play on other projects.
— Own property: families, businesses, houses, vehicles, etc.

Prohibited​

— Violate project rules — the highest standards of conduct are expected from leaders.
— Abuse official authority for personal gain. (Showing favoritism to players, selling ranks, using commands and features inappropriately.)
— Be inactive in the faction, ignore junior members, skip the working day.
— Hold positions on other projects.

What is Needed for the Leader Position?

Candidate Requirements:

• Have at least 8th game level.
• Understanding and ability to work within your faction.
• No serious punishments (bans, warnings) within the last month.
• Excellent knowledge of the server (project) rules, role-playing, and game mechanics.
• Leadership experience (Previous positions as deputy/leader).
• Ability to resolve conflicts fairly and make quick decisions.
• Age — 14 years or older.
• Daily in-game activity of at least 3 hours (not counting AFK time) for effective faction management.
• Have forum, Discord, and Telegram accounts (Be able to create topics and manage the faction's section).

General Information for Applying for a Leader Position:
Candidates for the leader position are considered through the following approved methods:

1. Elections or Appointment via Application​

Consideration Conditions:

• The leader position must be vacant (e.g., the previous term has expired, the position has become available/the previous leader was removed early).
• The candidate must meet all the requirements listed above.
• The candidate must have the support of their faction members and a positive reputation on the project (Game experience also plays a role).

Consideration Process:

1. The Administration announces the opening of a leader vacancy for a specific faction (Discord/Forum/Server notification/General Telegram chats).
2. Candidates must fully complete the leadership application and undergo an interview call if necessary.
3. The Administration approves the final candidate based on game experience, leadership qualities, and player support.

2. Direct Appointment by the Administration​

In some cases, the Administration may directly appoint a trusted and reliable player to stabilize or revitalize a faction.

Appointment Conditions:

• The faction is in a critical state and requires immediate, experienced leadership.
• The candidate has exceptional merits in leadership, responsibility, and contribution to the server's development.
• The candidate is vouched for by the Overseer and Head Overseer of state structures.

Consideration Process:
The Administration directly offers the leader position to the player.

Note: Leadership is a serious responsibility. Direct appointment is only provided when the Administration is completely confident in the candidate and trusts them with faction management. We strongly recommend having a clear vision and a concrete plan for your faction before applying.

Additional Information​

1. Application Review

• The review period for applications is from 1 to 5 business days.
• The Administration will evaluate the candidate's history, reputation, and proposed plans.

2. Interview

• Candidates who pass the initial selection may be interviewed in a voice call (Discord).
• Before appointment to the leader post, a written survey is conducted with the candidate to understand their true intentions, goals, and ability to manage the faction.

3. Leader Term

• Players who do not complete the minimum leader term (7 days) will receive an account block for 14 days.
• Players who do not complete the full leader term (14 days for criminal orgs; 21 for state structures) will receive an in-game warning (warn) for 14 days.

4. Appointment to the Position
After passing the interview/survey, the player is granted leader authority and faction functionality. They also receive a forum role to manage and fill out their faction's forum section.

5. Decision Notification

• Only the selected candidate is contacted directly.
• The lack of a response after the consideration period means your application was not successful this time.
